David A. Kamila, of Stantec, in Portland, Maine, submitted these shots he took during a project called Katrina Build in the summer of 2007. Hundreds of volunteers participated over a single weekend in the pre-assembly of two single-family homes for Habitat for Humanity of Greater Portland, and then disassembled them and loaded them on two flatbeds for delivery to Hattisburg, Miss. There, working along with other volunteers, additional donated materials and cash donations, they completed two 3-bedroom homes for two families as part of a nationwide Habitat effort. Project cost was $300,000.
