Willmeng Construction, Inc.
On Tuesday, Willmeng Construction, Inc., Phoenix, broke ground on Gilbert Fire Station No. 9, a 12,137SF station designed by HDA Architects. "As Gilbert continues to grow, we are excited to break ground on this new fire station which will enhance service to citizens in this area and further promote Gilbert’s commitment to safety,” said Gilbert Mayor Jenn Daniels. The fire station will be completed in August 2018, and will help serve southern Gilbert as well as citizens of Queen Creek.

NAIOP Arizona Young Professionals Group (YPG) Mentor Program
The NAIOP Arizona Young Professionals Group (YPG) Mentor Program has graduated the 2016-2017 class. The 15 protégés, which were grouped into four teams, pitched development proposals on Phoenix Trotting Park, the abandoned horse racing track in Goodyear. Teams presented market analysis, site plans, marketing plans, construction budgets and more to the judges. “State 48” (Sean Sheppard of Seefried Properties, Serena Wedlich of CBRE, and Joe Charles of JLL) took home first-place honors.
