The Women’s Village at Clara Brown Commons | Shaw Construction

Bearing masks and standing at a safe distance, students, teachers, parents, and supporters gathered on Monday, August 31 to wave off six tiny homes built by the students of Cherry Creek Innovation Campus (CCIC). The homes were sent to The Women’s Village at Clara Brown Commons located at 37th and York for women coming out of homelessness. Shaw Construction’s Self Perform Division donated materials to help CCIC students in the infrastructure program to build the tiny homes.

Olympic & Paralympic Museum | GE Johnson

On Thursday, July 30, the United States Olympic & Paralympic Museum celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The socially distanced event had approximately 80 guests including Colorado Governor Jared Polis, Colorado Springs Mayor John Suthers, Olympic & Paralympic athletes, and Jim Johnson, president and CEO of GE Johnson.

Olympic & Paralympic Museum | GE Johnson

General contractor GE Johnson, broke ground on the 60,000 square-foot building in June of 2017 and completed the facility in April so that exhibits could be installed prior to the grand opening. The museum, located at 200 S. Sierra Madre Street in Colorado Springs, is expected to draw 350,000 visitors a year. Designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro and Anderson Mason Dale Architects, the museum is recognized by the United States Olympic Committee as the official showcase of Team USA.

GE Johnson’s second Safety Summit

On Wednesday, February 12, more than 65 safety professionals came together for GE Johnson’s second Safety Summit, held at the Ridge Prefab & Manufacturing facility in Aurora. The purpose of the summit is to cultivate relationships and share best safety practices within the industry to achieve Zero Injuries.

Attendees included subcontractors and stakeholders that GE Johnson collaborates with on a daily basis.

St. John’s Medical Center’s Sage Living | GE Johnson Construction Wyoming

On July 18, St. John’s Medical Center’s Sage Living ceremoniously broke ground on its new facility in eastern Jackson. Inaugural shovels of dirt were scooped by current St. John’s residents Phyllis Osborne and Peter Haan. The 72,000-square-foot complex will have 80 beds as well as a 11,000-square-foot town square for reception, staff offices, and dining and culinary services. AndersonMasonDale Architects and GE Johnson Construction Wyoming are contracted for the project.

Northeast Elementary’s and Overland Trail Middle School’s Expansion and Renovation | GE Johnson Construction Co.

The completion of Northeast Elementary’s and Overland Trail Middle School’s expansion and renovation projects were celebrated with two ribbon cutting ceremonies in Brighton, Colo. on Jan. 10. The project team included GE Johnson Construction Co., Studiotrope, and MTech Mechanical. Attendees of the event, which included a pizza dinner, included Board of Education members, elected officials, current and past teachers and faculty, students and families, and other community members.
